1 Overview
The purpose of this document is to give release information DVX-1000 (D-Link
Network Telephone Exchange). D-Link's Network Telephone Exchange (DVX-1000) is
a SIP based solution, addressing the VoIP communication requirements of small and
medium enterprises. DVX-1000 has built in Call Server, IVR/Auto-attendant, Voice
Mail and conferencing functionalities. It helps VoIP devices like SIP phones, gateways
etc to make and receive calls, implements host of voice call features and manages
accounts and provisioning of D-Link endpoints.
This is a preview release of DVX-1000 software. This release has been tested by
development team for system stability, functionality and features. The QA testing
has not been completed. After the QA testing is completed, there will be another
release addressing the issues. This release contains the following enhancements.
• Support for running DVX behind NATs.
• Media mapping for calls across NATs.
• Multiple codec support for voicemail and autoattendant.
• Support for stacking DVX’s to increase user registration and sharing gateways.

3 Software Control
The software and hardware revisions of this release are:
• Hardware Version: Shark Rev 1.0
• IPPBX Software Version: DVX-1000 2.0.5
• Monta Vista Version: 3.0
• Intel CSR version: 1.4
4 Installation
1. Connect power supply to the DVX-1000 and power up.
2. Connect the LAN port to the HUB/Local Network
3. The power indicator and LAN indicator should be ON, if the corresponding LAN
Port is connected to a Local Network.
4. DVX-1000 comes with the default ip address of 10.0.0.1. You can change the
ip address through CLI (Command Line Interface) or web interface.
5. To Set IP address through CLI, connect the console port of DVX-1000 to the
‘com’ port of your PC, using the supplied console cable. The terminal settings
should be (15200 8-N-1). IP address can be set by using the ‘set ip’
