Sharing Files
Using the mydlink SharePort™ App
1. If you are connecting remotely to mydlink SharePort™ app, you will need a
mydlink account. Refer to “mydlink” on page 42 for more details.
If you are connecting locally, proceed to the next step.
2. Slide the switch on the side of the DIR-508L to On.
3. Plug your USB storage into the USB port on the side of the DIR-508L.
The mydlink SharePort app for iOS and Android allows you to remotely and locally access les stored on a USB drive or SD card
connected to the DIR-508L. Supported File Formats for iOS and Android:
• Video: .mp4, .mov, m4v
• Music: .mp3, .wav, m4a
• Image: .bmp, .jpg, .png
• Document: Microsoft® Oce formats, .pdf,

Once you are logged in, many of the controls and functions are the same as in SharePort Web Access. For more information on
conguring SharePort, refer to “SharePort/Storage Sharing” on page 38.
