Features & Benefits
MULTIMEDIA
The Network Media Players unite a home network with the home entertainment
center, allowing users to share, access, and enjoy digital multimedia in the comfort
of the living room. They connect to the TV and let users access digital media content
stored on the PC or a network attached storage, browse music files, watch videos
and view digital photos. They also allow users to access on-line media contents on
the TV through a home broadband Internet connection. Users can listen to high-
quality digital music on a stereo system, share digital photos with friends and family,
and watch their favorite high-definition digital videos on a TV screen.
The Network Media Players support high-definition video in Windows Media Video 9
(WMV9), MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX® and DVR-MS formats. Users can enjoy videos
with resolutions up to 720p/1080i for the best picture quality from HDTV using an HDMI
connection, or connect to standard televisions using SCART or Composite Video
cables. Certain models (the DSM-510, for example) are DivX Certified, allowing users
to play DivX encoded movies (DivX format compressed video files) with exceptionally
high visual quality.
The Audio Adapters connect to flash drives, PC or hard drives to play digital sound.
They come with convenient remote control and can connect wirelessly to the Internet
to play broadcast radio programs and music. For quality sound, they can connect to
stereo systems. These appliances have sleek desktop design, suitable for placing in
the living room.
